Data Deletion Request

SkillQuest respects the privacy rights of merchants and store visitors. This page explains how personal data collected through the SkillQuest application can be deleted.
1. Merchant Data Deletion
Merchants can delete their data by uninstalling the SkillQuest application from their Shopify store.
When the app is uninstalled:
- Access to the store's data is immediately revoked by Shopify
- Session data is deleted immediately
- All remaining data (configurations, analytics, collected emails, issued codes) is deleted when Shopify issues the shop data erasure request, typically within 48 hours
2. Store Visitor Data Deletion
SkillQuest processes visitor data on behalf of the merchant operating the store.
If you submitted your email address through a SkillQuest widget and wish to request deletion, please contact the merchant whose store you visited.
The merchant acts as the data controller and is responsible for handling data requests.
3. Requests Sent to SkillQuest
If we receive a deletion request directly from a visitor, we will:
- Identify the relevant merchant
- Forward the request to the merchant
- Assist the merchant where required
